Mango Avocado Walnut Milkshake ~ NutriBullet Shakes

One day two of my favorite fruits, Mango and Avocado are very ripe and sitting on the counter top, begging me to make something out of them. As i don't have much time to think to make something exotic, i quickly throw them in nutri bullet and pulsed, with in 5 minutes this milk shake happened and turned out to be my morning bliss. Since then I make this shake at least twice a week, hubby liked this too! I love Nutri Bullet, Worth Buy! Here is the recipe for you, njoy!

Mango Avocado Walnut Milkshake

Ingredients:
Mango - 1/2
Avocado - 1/2
Walnut Milk - 1 cup
Water - 1 cup

yields: 2 servings

Method:
First add Mango slices and 1/2 Avocado to the Nutribullet and pulse until everything becomes processed. Then add Walnut milk and pulse 1 more time. Finally add 1 cup water and pulse everything together until it gets milk shake consistency. Pour into glasses and enjoy immediately.

Notes:

  • I get Walnut Milk ( no sugar added) from Sprouts - local organic and natural grocery store.
  • I don't add sugar or sweetener in my milkshake recipes, as there is enough sugar in the fruits we add, esp Mango in this recipe. If you like or prefer sweetener, add 1 tsp of honey or 2 pitted Dates or try 1 tsp of cane sugar or brown sugar.

Banana Oat Nut Shake ~ NutriBullet Shakes

Usually I like to eat Banana as it is, not in the form of cooking, like Banana Breads, Puddings, even Banana splits. But with my recent Banana Nut Bread Experiments I got hooked onto it, and kinda liking Banana when there are nuts accompanied. So in the same notes, today I have tried this Banana Oat Nut Shake recipe in my NutriBullet and the result is Delicious, Healthy, Awesome and totally Wholesome! This is happening a lot in my kitchen these days! Here is the recipe, Njoy!

Ingredients:
Banana - 1 ( medium ripe)
Oats - 2 Tbsp
Walnuts - 2 Tbsp ( you can use Almonds as well)
Skim Milk - 1 cup
Water - 1/2 cup
Honey - 1 Tbsp ( optional)

*yields: 2 servings

Method:

  1. Peel and Chop Banana into slices and add to the Bullet Jar. Add 2 Tbsp Oats to it and half of Walnuts.
  2. Remaining Nuts chop them into small pieces and reserve for Garnishing. ( if you don't have time, then add all the walnuts to the jar).
  3. Grind together ( 30 sec) until it becomes paste. Then add Skim milk and water and grind again ( 30 to 60 sec) until everything is combined or until you get shake consistency.
  4. Transfer the shake to Glasses and top with reserved chopped walnuts.

Garnish with Chopped Walnuts on top!

Notes:

  • I don't use sugar or sweeter in my NutriBullet Shakes, as Fresh Furits has enough sugar. If you like some sweet taste then use Honey otherwise it is optional. I haven't used in mine here.
  • You can replace Walnuts with Almonds or Almond Meal. But I like the Banana and Walnut Combination better for some reason.
  • If you don't have NutriBullet  you can use any blender or your mixie ( India Version of Blender :-))

Pineapple Pomo Power Shake ~ NutriBullet Shakes

Though Green Juicing is my ultimate goal, I want to give it a slow start. So Instead of directly jumping into shake that looks green and gooey, I am slowly sneaking in the greens into my shake. Today I have tried adding in some spinach leaves, but my shake didn't turn green at all, and I haven't tasted anything unusual but true bliss and fullness in my shake. so here is the recipe, Give it a try yourself to start getting into Greens!

Pineapple Pomo Power Shake

Ingredients:
Pineapple - 1 cup
Pomegranate Seeds - 1/3 cup
Almonds - 10
Carrot Juice - 1/2 cup ( or 1/2 carrot)
Orange Juice - 1/2 cup
Spinach - 5 to 6 leaves

Method:
  1. First add fresh pine apple slices, pomegranate seeds and raw almonds in Nutribullet cup.
  2. Pulse for 30 sec until all the almonds are pulverized. Now add orange juice and carrot juice.
  3. Pulse for another 30 sec.
  4. Finally add spinach leaves and pulse for another 30 sec. By now you will get nice and thick smoothie. Transfer this to glass and Njoy

Notes:
  • If you don't have carrot juice handy. Chop half of medium carrot into circles and add them to cup in the beginning along with pineapple.
  • I didn't add spinach at the end intentionally, but i forgot to add in the beginning. Not sure by adding in the end helped the shake not turn into green. Next time I will try adding it up front to know the mystery.
  • At the end if the shake is too thick for you, you can add 1/2 cup of water and pulse to thin it out. As almonds are used in this shake it will be thick like smoothie.
